After one of his own judgement cards takes effect, he gains it instead of it going to the discard. The verdict is unaffected; if Fate's Hand replaced the card, he gains the replacement.

After you take damage, draw 2 cards for each point of damage taken — then you may hand any of those drawn cards to other characters, one by one.

Guo Jia is the game's great card engine, and pain is his fuel. Bequest turns every point of damage into two fresh cards — and because he may hand any of them away, the hero the table most wants to punch doubles as a kingmaker, arming an ally at the exact moment a rival over-commits. Heaven's Spite works the other angle, turning judgement — normally a tax — into income: it hands him the card after any judgement of his resolves, so the Festival Party that just cost him his Play phase still leaves him a card richer, and the Lightning he passes on pays a toll on the way out. Fate's Hand cannot rob him either — replace his judgement and he simply pockets the replacement. At 3 health with no offense of his own he is a slow accumulator, not a threat; the danger is a table that keeps hitting him while he quietly out-cards everyone, so the counter is to leave him alone and race the board past him.
