Zhen Ji never has to hold a Defense back, because half her hand already is one. Kingfall makes every black card a Defense, so she can spend freely on effects and still answer the Attack that follows — and against Lu Bu, who demands two Defenses, she is one of the few heroes who can simply pay. River Spirit then feeds her: at the start of every turn she judges, keeps each black card she reveals, and judges again, so a good run can hand her two or three free cards before she has even drawn. She is a grinder, not a threat — 3 health and no offense of her own means she wins by outlasting, and a table that ignores her will find her holding the whole deck.
