Locked. A Barbarian Horde has no effect on you at all: you are never asked for an Attack and never take its damage. When another player's Barbarian Horde finishes resolving, you gain the card. Casting it yourself gains you nothing.

After your Attack deals damage to a character, you may pindian with them: both stake a hand card and the higher rank wins, with a tie counting as a loss for you. If you win, you take a card from their hand. Both of you must have a card in hand.

Zhu Rong is two halves that rarely help each other, and both are strong. War Elephants makes her the only seat that can ignore a Barbarian Horde entirely — she is never asked for an Attack, takes no damage, and then picks the card up to throw back later. That alone reshapes how a table plays its AoE. Rending Edge is the aggressive half: every Attack that lands becomes a chance to strip a card, and because a pindian costs her a card too, it rewards a full hand and high ranks. Lead with a King. Her weakness is that both halves want different hands — the elephant wants you to hold the Barbarian you stole, the blade wants you to spend everything — and a losing pindian is pure loss.
