Red Hare is an offensive mount: equip it and your Attacks and range-limited tactics reach one seat farther. It shines for a Rebel hunting a distant, well-guarded Lord, or any aggressive hero sitting on a pile of Attacks but stuck just out of range. On a full 8-player table where the gaps run wide, that single step often opens a target you could not touch before.
Stack it on Ma Chao, whose reach is already long, to touch the very edge of the board, or give it to Zhang Fei's unlimited Attacks to feed him extra targets to flurry. Long-range weapons like the Serpent Spear, or the rapid volleys of the Repeating Crossbow, pair beautifully — turning one mount into a full-table hunting engine.
Negate does nothing to a mount, so remove it instead — Dismantle or Steal it straight out of his horse slot. Better yet, put Shadow Runner (a defensive mount) on his likely target: the extra distance cancels the step he gained. Keep a Defense or Eight Trigrams ready for the Attacks now creeping into range, and remember the mount only buys one seat — so a wider gap still leaves you clear.
