Borrowed Sword: pick a weapon-holding seat and a victim. The weapon holder must play an Attack at the victim, or surrender their weapon to you. Can be Negated.
A two-for-one card: aim it at any weapon holder and they either Attack the victim you picked or hand you their weapon — you win either way. It shines for a Lord or Loyalist who wants a heavy hitter pointed at a suspected Rebel without spending an Attack, and for a weaponless seat that pockets a free disarm. Its one dead spot: a board where nobody holds a weapon.
Pairs beautifully with Diao Chan, who likewise turns enemies against each other and cracks alliances wide open. Aim it at a Blue Steel Blade or Serpent Spear holder for extra sting, or at Guan Yu — he can always convert a red card into the forced Attack, so the swing is sure to come. Then follow up with your own Duel or Attack to finish the battered victim.
A single Negate cancels the whole thing — keep one in hand if you carry a prized weapon, since a big blade makes you a prime puppet. Forced into it, weigh surrendering the weapon to avoid hitting an ally against swinging to keep your gear. The victim should save a Defense to dodge the forced Attack, or lean on Eight Trigrams armor to shrug it off.
