You may use a red-suited card as an Attack — whether on your turn or when answering a Duel, Barbarian Invasion, or an incoming Attack demand. A red Defense still works normally as a Dodge when you need to defend instead.

Guan Yu turns red cards into Attacks, giving relentless offensive pressure with no need to hold real Attack cards. He is a fearsome Lord or aggressive Rebel who keeps swinging while still defending with red Dodges. His weakness is a black-heavy hand and crowd control, since the skill only converts red cards.
