Jin heroes start the game face-down: no hero and no HP are shown, they have no skills, and they count as male. They appear at the start of their own turn, or the first time they would lose HP — that loss is prevented. Seat 1 never starts face-down. Jin heroes are only dealt in Jin mode (a room / solo option).
At the start of your turn, you may pick another character as your partner until your next turn. Once per turn, when either of you gains or loses cards and you now hold the same number, the other one draws 1. Once per turn, when either's HP changes and you are now at the same HP, the other one draws 1.
When your play phase starts, you may draw 2 cards and lose 1 HP when the play phase ends, or (if wounded) recover 1 HP and discard 2 cards when it ends.
Princess Xuan turns a partnership into a card engine. At the start of each of your turns, Matched Pair lets you bind another character as your partner until your next turn. From then on, whenever one of you gains or loses cards and you end up holding the same number, the other one draws 1; the same goes for HP. Each happens at most once per turn. Bind an ally whose hand size sits close to yours and the draws flow both ways; bind an enemy and you feed them as often as yourself. Hard Bargain is the lever that lands you on your partner's number: as your play phase starts, either draw 2 now and lose 1 HP when the phase ends, or, if you are wounded, recover 1 HP now and discard 2 cards when it ends. Draw when you can spare the HP, heal when you can spare the cards. Warm Welcome is her Ambush: she starts the game face-down, and if she is forced to appear outside her own turn, the HP loss is prevented and she may have one wounded character recover 1 HP — a free heal for whoever needs it most. Her cost is her body: 3 HP, and Hard Bargain's draw spends it, so count your life before you count your cards.
