Jin heroes start the game face-down: no hero and no HP are shown, they have no skills, and they count as male. They appear at the start of their own turn, or the first time they would lose HP — that loss is prevented. Seat 1 never starts face-down. Jin heroes are only dealt in Jin mode (a room / solo option).

Sima Zhao wins by rewriting other people's hands. Call to Arms, once per play phase, shows a random card from another character's hand; until the end of their next turn, every other card there of a different type is a plain Attack. Aim it at someone holding Defenses or Peaches and they can neither dodge nor heal — or at an ally who needs Attacks. Open Secret trades privacy for cards: at the start of your play phase you may show your hand to the whole table until the phase ends, and each time you play out the last card of a suit you draw 1 or discard someone else's card. Plan your plays around suits: spending your only heart, then your only spade, pays twice. Forced Hand is his Ambush: if he is made to appear on someone's turn, at the end of it he names a character in their range — they must Attack that seat or take 1 damage from him. As Lord, Long Reach lends him every Jin ally's attack range.
