Samkok Kin Reab

A free online Three Kingdoms hidden-role card game · Thai name: สามก๊กกินเรียบ

Samkok Kin Reab (Thai: สามก๊กกินเรียบ, roughly “Three Kingdoms, clean sweep”) is a free hidden-role card game set in China’s Three Kingdoms era, played entirely in the browser. Each player takes a legendary hero, is secretly dealt a role — Lord, Loyalist, Rebel or Spy — and uses attack, defense and healing cards plus the hero’s own skills to eliminate the other side, while nobody at the table knows for certain who is on which side. It runs on phone, tablet or PC with nothing to install, for 1 player against bots up to 8 players in one room.

What is Samkok Kin Reab?

Samkok Kin Reab is a social-deduction card game built around hero combat. The table is split into hidden factions: the Lord and the Loyalists who protect the throne, the Rebels who want it, and a lone Spy who wants everyone else gone first. Because only the Lord is revealed, every attack, every heal and every card someone chooses not to play is a clue — the game is won by reading the table and bluffing it back.

The game is made in Thailand and is Thai-first with a full English interface. The heroes are the public-domain figures of the Three Kingdoms period — Liu Bei, Cao Cao, Sun Quan, Zhuge Liang, Lü Bu and their contemporaries — while every skill name, card name and piece of art is original to Samkok Kin Reab. It is free forever and never pay-to-win.

How a match works

Every match starts by dealing a secret role to each seat. Only the Lord is revealed; everyone else has to be worked out from what they do. Your goal depends on your role:

RoleGoalWins when
LordThe revealed leaderEvery Rebel and the Spy are gone — but if the Lord dies, the Loyalists lose with him
LoyalistProtect the LordAll Rebels and the Spy are eliminated (shared win with the Lord)
RebelBring down the LordThe Lord dies — any surviving Rebel wins for the whole team
SpyPlay both sidesBe the last seat alive, with the Lord dead first

A turn has three phases:

  1. Draw two cards.
  2. Play any number of cards — deal damage, heal, equip a weapon or armor, or pressure an opponent. You may normally play one Attack per turn, and it only reaches targets within your attack range.
  3. Discard down to your remaining hit points.

The core cards are Attack (1 damage to a target in range), Defense (cancels one incoming Attack), Peach (heal 1, or save a dying player) and Wine (+1 damage on your next Attack). Around them sit tricks such as Duel, Borrowed Sword and Hail of Arrows, delayed tricks like Lightning, and equipment that changes your range or shields you. Before a room match the table can run a Lord-first hero draft: the Lord picks from five candidates, then every other seat draws three and picks knowing who leads.

The full rules are on the How to play page; every hero skill is on the Heroes page and every card effect on the Cards page.

Is Samkok Kin Reab a board game or a video game?
