Wine: during your play phase, buff your next Attack this turn for +1 damage. During your OWN dying-rescue, you may play it instead of a Peach. Wine cannot rescue other players.
Wine is a closer. Drink it before a key Attack to make one swing land for 2 — enough to finish a low-HP target or drop a wounded Lord outright. Aggressive Rebels hunting the Lord, and a Lord punishing the mob, want it most. Held back, it's a private lifeline that pulls only you from the brink. Save it for the swing that ends someone — or the breath that saves you.
Pair it with Zhang Fei or the Repeating Crossbow — both fire unlimited Attacks — and slot a 2-damage Wine punch into the barrage to close a kill. Guan Yu converting red cards into Attacks, or Ma Chao reaching a distant target, likewise turns one swing into a Lord-killing blow.
Wine is a basic card, so Negate can't stop it — your real defense is a held Defense or the Eight Trigrams armor, since one dodge wastes the whole +1 buff. Against an enemy hoarding Wine as a self-save, land 2 damage in a single hit so one rescue isn't enough, or strip it first with Steal or Dismantle.
