When you would take damage, spend a Heart card from your hand to prevent it and choose another player, then pick one: that player takes 1 damage from the original source and draws cards equal to that player's lost HP (up to 5); or that player loses 1 HP and gains the Heart you spent.

Your Spade cards — judgement cards included — always count as Hearts.

Xiao Qiao is a defensive trickster: whenever she would take damage, Grace lets her spend a single Heart to shrug the whole hit off — even a lethal one — and pick another player to feel it. She then chooses the sting: chip them for 1 damage from the original attacker (they draw for their wounds, up to 5), or sap 1 HP no shield can answer and hand them the Heart she spent. Her catch is the fuel — no Hearts means no protection, and her 3 HP punishes a dry spell. She's a strong Loyalist shield for the Lord or a slippery Spy who survives the chaos.
