Sun Jian is the rare hero who gets STRONGER the closer he is to death. War Soul does nothing at full health; every point he has lost turns into X, and at the start of each of his turns he hands another player a choice built from that number — draw X and discard one, or draw one and discard X. Wounded down to 1 health he is effectively handing out a three-card swing every single turn. That makes him a support who wants to be hit, and an ally worth protecting rather than healing to full. Point War Soul at whoever can spend cards fastest: a Repeating Crossbow holder, a hero with a discard outlet, or simply the teammate holding the killing Attack. The discard half is not a drawback — it is a tool, letting an ally dump a dead card they were forced to keep. His danger is that the same wounds that power him also put him one Duel away from the grave, and with 4 health and no defensive skill he has nothing but cards to stop it. Play him as a battery that is deliberately running down, not as a frontline fighter.
